ارتفع الذهب منذ بداية الأسبوع مخترقاً منطقة المقاومة الحاسمة عند 2010. أكمل الاتجاه الصعودي خلال تداولات الأسبوع باستخدام المتحرك المتوسط ل 200 جلسة كمنطقة دعم مهمة. وصل السعر في صباح اليوم الى مستويات المقاومة 2034$ المتميزة بردود أفعال سعرية سابقة ومستويات 61.8% فيبوناتشي من الموجة الهبوطية الأخيرة.
عند الساعة الخامسة والنصف بتوقيت دبي تم اصدار بيانات مطالبات البطالة التي جاءت أقل من المتوقع ودعمت الدولار الأمريكي الامر الذي أدى الى الضغط على المعادن الثمينة. في تمام الساعة 18:45 تم اصدار بيانات PMI التي جاءت مختلطة ولم تؤدي الى تحركات واسعة في الأسواق. بعد ذلك تم اصدار بيانات الإسكان من الولايات المتحدة التي جاءت أعلى من المتوقع ودفعت الذهب لاختبار المتحرك المتوسط ل 200 جلسة عند 2020$. تبقى منطقة 2015$ منطقة الدعم الحاسمة في حال استمرار الاتجاه الهبوطي.
