افتتحت المؤشرات الأمريكية على ارتفاع حاد، مدفوعة بتقرير الوظائف الأمريكية المزدهر الذي خفف من مخاوف الركود. ارتفعت الرواتب غير الزراعية بمقدار 254 ألف وظيفة في سبتمبر، بينما انخفض معدل البطالة إلى 4.1%. تشير هذه البيانات القوية إلى قوة محتملة في إنفاق المستهلك ونمو الناتج المحلي الإجمالي في الربعين الثالث والرابع، متحدية التوقعات الأخيرة بالتباطؤ.
