The weekly chart shows that the GBPJPY keeps trading within the triangle pattern close to its upper boundary. On top of that, bears have been recently supported by the two moving averages - 50 and 200. From this standpoint it seems that there is room for declines toward 135/6.

In turn, the daily chart shows that the pair has left its range trading (the lower bound of this consolidation was supported by the 200DMA). Therefore, the next support could be found in the vicinity of 140.5/141 being underpinned by the 50% retracement as well as the lows from mid-February.

Finally the H4 interval suggests that the pair could be falling in the nearest time. Note that the last bearish impulse has been really strong and pushed the price below the consolidation. Among factors standing behind such a move we may point to risk aversion as well as further revelations related to Brexit. If this sentiment prevails, a possible retreat toward 143.8 could a chance for bears to join the downtrend.
