Opinie: Retragerea aurului nu s-a oprit la retragerea Fibonacci de 38,2% a valului ascendent din 10 martie, când lingourile au început să câștige pe valul crizei bancare, dar prețul este încă foarte aproape de acest nivel. Indicele de putere relativă (RSI) a scăzut sub 30 de puncte, semnalând o stare de supravânzare. La acest nivel cererea a devenit activă în ultimele luni. Datele macro recente din economia SUA au fost relativ mixte, dar tendința generală indică o încetinire economică, așa cum a discutat recent Loretta Mester de la Cleveland Fed, printre altele.
Indicatorul regional NY Empire State de luni a fost o dezamăgire iar astăzi piețele își vor îndrepta atenția către un alt reper industrial regional - indicatorul Philly Fed. Raportul JOLTS va fi, de asemenea, urmărit îndeaproape de piețe. O slăbire a pieței forței de muncă din SUA poate susține aurul - la fel ca și o slăbiciune „recesivă” în continuare a producției din SUA. Din punct de vedere istoric, lingourile s-au descurcat bine în timpul recesiunilor prin care cererea poate susține în continuare aurul în zonele cheie de preț.
