Economic calendar: Conference Board from the USA in the spotlight 🔎

9:12 am 28 May 2024

Today's macroeconomic calendar is relatively light compared to the rest of the current week. At 01:30 PM BST, the industrial production price index report from Canada will be published, followed by the US housing price index at 02:00 PM BST, and at 03:00 PM BST the Conference Board index for May.

The most important publication will likely be the consumer confidence in the Conference Board Index. Expectations indicate a slightly lower reading of 96 points compared to 97 points in the previous month, suggesting continued consumer weakness in the USA. However, historically, only readings around 55-75 points indicated recessionary levels.
