Economic calendar: Flash PMIs from Europe and US, Tesla earnings report

9:37 am 23 April 2024

  • European indices set to open higher
  • Flash PMIs for April from Europe and the United States
  • Earnings reports from Tesla and Lockheed Martin, among others

European index futures point to a higher opening of the cash session on the Old Continent today. This comes following a mostly upbeat Asia-Pacific session earlier today, as well as solid gains made on Wall Street yesterday.

The day ahead looks interesting both in terms of scheduled macro data as well as scheduled earnings reports. Flash PMIs for April from Europe and the United States are key points in today's macro calendar. French, German and US reports are expected to show improvement in both sectors, while UK print is expected to show improvement in manufacturing and deterioration in services.
