Economic calendar: Flash PMIs from Europe, CBRT and Riksbank rate decisions

European index futures point to a flat opening of the main blue chips indices. This comes after an uneventful Asia-Pacific session, during which indices from the region struggled to find common direction. Japanese holiday negatively impacted liquidity conditions and situation is not expected to improve much with US markets closed for Thanksgiving Day today. List of trading hour changes due to US holiday can be found below.

  • Trading until 4:30 pm GMT - VIX
  • Trading until 6:00 pm GMT - US30, US100, US500, US2000, JP225, TNOTE
  • Trading until 6:30 pm GMT - OIL, LSGASOIL
  • Trading until 7:30 pm GMT - OIL.WTI, NATGAS, GASOLINE, GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM, PALLADIUM

Nevertheless, European session ahead looks to be interesting with traders getting flash PMIs for November as well as updates from some central banks. As usual, French and German PMI readings at 8:15 and 8:30 am GMT, respectively, will be the most closely watched and may trigger the biggest price moves on European assets. SEK may see some moves when Riksbank announces rate decision with expectations split between 25 bp rate hike and no move. On the other hand, CBRT is seen delivering a 250 basis point rate hike at 11:00 am GMT. EUR may also see some volatility during ECB minutes release at 12:30 pm GMT.
