BlackRock and Morgan Stanley among today's earnings reporters
Moods on the global financial markets remain sour as investors finally took note of disastrous macroeconomic data. Moreover, the number of new coronavirus cases began to rise after improvement in recent days. The two big releases today are US jobless claims (1:30 pm BST) and new NY Fed index (4:30 pm BST). Apart from that, Morgan Stanley (MS.US) will release earnings ahead of the opening bell. When it comes to the Asian session ahead, Chinese datapack including March production and sales data as well as Q1 GDP report are scheduled for release at 3:00 am BST.

4:30 pm BST - NY Fed weekly economic index. The New York Fed announced that it will start to publish a weekly economic index starting from today. The index is aimed to provide more timely measures of the US economy. The index will take into account a range of metrics, including retail sales data, unemployment reports or traffic figures.
