Economic calendar: Q2 earnings reports from Alphabet and Tesla

9:34 am 23 July 2024

  • European indices set for slightly higher opening
  • Earnings reports from Alphabet and Tesla after Wall Street close
  • Rate decisions from Turkey and Hungary

European index futures point to a slightly higher or flat opening of today's cash session for major blue chips indices from the Old Continent. This comes after a rather upbeat Asia-Pacific session, during which majority of regional indices gained. However, newsflow during the Asian trading was light and it is expected to remain so during the European trading hours amid lack of noteworthy macro releases. However, traders will be offered rate decision from Turkey and Hungary.

While economic calendar for today is almost empty and lack top-tier macro releases, situation looks completely different when we take a look at earnings calendar. Tesla and Alphabet will report earnings after close of the Wall Street session today, while companies like Coca-Cola, General Motores or GE Aerospace will reported their earnings before opening of the session.
