US midterm elections final polls

8:40 pm 8 November 2022

Today, Americans will be heading the polls in order to choose their candidates for Congress and local authorities. Of course, the most intense fight will be for the Senate, and at this point it seems that the Republicans have a chance of taking over both houses. While Democrats seem to gain from their abortion agenda, other key issues are working against them, namely inflation, unpopular president, a growing number of immigrants and statistics itself. In the most optimistic scenario for Democrats, their rival will take over the House by securing 15 seats. In the case of the Senate, a runoff will be held in Georgia, which will decide which party will hold power in the upper house.

It seems Georgia could be taken over by Republicans, nevertheless runoffs will be held at a later day. Pennsylvania may also be taken over by Republicans, and in Nevada, everything is on the verge of statistical error. Source: FiveThirtyEight

The first election results will be announced around 11:00 pm GMT, while the key ones will be released at 00:00 am GMT and 3:00 am GMT.
