Will Joe Biden be announced as Democratic Party official candidate?

8:20 pm 19 July 2024

An announcement is expected in the near future that Joe Biden is to be the official Democratic Party candidate in the US presidential election. Meanwhile, more and more information is emerging indicating that Biden may drop out at the last moment. NBC television has reported information indicating that Biden's family would be preparing for Joe Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race. This information has already been denied by the White House.

  • On the other hand, even the 4 Democrats in the House of Representatives quite clearly indicate that Biden should withdraw from the candidacy. Biden, on the other hand, declared in the last minutes that despite the coronavirus, he is returning to the campaign trail next week.
  • There are also unofficial reports that up to 2/3 of the Democrats would like to see Biden withdraw from the election, although on the other hand they fear that at this point fielding Harris could mean an even greater reduction in his chances of being elected. The Democratic convention will be held August 19-22 in Chicago.

The choice between Biden and Trump could clearly affect not only geopolitics, but especially the situation on Wall Street or the dollar.
