Tesla to report earnings after market close
Futures markets point to a lower opening of today's cash session in Europe. Asian session was mixed and moods deteriorated as the European open approached. Bitcoin tested all-time highs during the Asian session but has pulled back since. Precious metals, oil and industrial metals drop.
Looking at the day ahead, there are some noteworthy events. Oil traders will tune in at 3:30 pm BST for DOE report release. API data released yesterday showed bigger-than-expected build in oil inventories and bigger-than-expected drops in gasoline and distillate stockpiles. USD traders should stay on guard in the late-afternoon as a number of Fed members are set to deliver speeches. Speech from Quarles looks to be the most interesting as he will speak on the economic outlook. Last but not least, investors' favourite Tesla will report Q3 results today after Wall Street session close
