European indices set for flat opening

PMI revisions from Europe, US manufacturing ISM
-
Earnings from Caterpillar, AMD and Virgin Galactic, among others
Futures markets point to a flat opening of the European cash session today. This comes after a mixed trading in Asia earlier today and after an upbeat session on Wall Street yesterday. AUD is a mover today after the RBA delivered a dovish surprise and held rates unchanged at a meeting today. Australian dollar is the worst performing G10 currency with AUDUSD dropping below 0.6700 mark and erasing most of yesterday's gains.
Economic calendar for the day ahead is packed with data releases but majority of those will be revisions to July's manufacturing PMI data and therefore are unlikely to have a major impact on the markets. Nevertheless, the manufacturing ISM index for July scheduled for release at 3:00 pm BST may result in some elevated volatility. There is a number of earnings reports from top-tier US companies scheduled for release today, including Caterpillar, AMD and Virgin Galactic
