On the German stock market, investors' attention is focused on the shares of Brenntag (BNR.DE). Engine Capital is calling on the German chemical distributor to prioritise the demerger of the company and to prioritise the spin-off of the speciality production unit, which activists believe could double Brenntag's share price. Another Primestone shareholder has also called for a demerger of the company. The shares are currently gaining nearly 2%.

MTU Aero (MTX.DE) shares are currently losing close to 3% following the reporting of worse results for the 2022 financial year. The company has cut its revenue forecast for 2023. As far as the report is concerned, the factor that has focused most of investors' attention is weak sales.
