It’s another relatively quiet day ahead on the economic calendar. Key stats include prelim September consumer sentiment figures from the U.S. and retail sales data from Canada. Away from the economic calendar, geopolitics may also influence the markets. The question of Taiwan's admission to the United Nations has once again exacerbated tensions between China and the US. Beijing has threatened to use non-peaceful measures to resolve this issue but so far has limited itself to carrying out military maneuvers near Taiwan.
