BREAKING: ECB leaves rates unchanged, EUR jumps in knee-jerk move

European Central Bank announced the latest monetary policy decision at 12:45 pm BST. The Bank left rates unchanged as expected. Bond-buying programme was unchanged at €1.35 billion and the PEPP programme was announced to last at least until June 2021. ECB said that it is ready to adjust all of its instruments if needed. EURUSD jumped on the news but quickly gave back all of the gains as the announcement was neutral. Equities did not experience any major reaction. ECB Chief Lagarde will hold a press conference at 1:30 pm BST.
