BREAKING: Turkey's Bank raises rates to 45%; decision in line with expectations

As expected, the CBRT decided to raise interest rates to 45% from the previous level of 42.5%. The bank added in a statement after the decision that interest rates are at a sufficiently restrictive level.

The US dollar is strengthening against the lira shortly after the CBRT's decision.
