1:30 pm GMT - Canada, CPI for October. Manufacturing sales data released yesterday showed smaller than expected drop in September. Nevertheless, the Canadian dollar lost some ground against the US counterpart. Today’s release of CPI inflation for October may be a chance for the currency to recover. The headline measure is expected to remain unchanged at 1.9% YoY.

3:30 pm GMT - DOE report on crude oil stockpiles. API report yesterday hinted at significantly bigger increase in crude stockpiles than expected (5.95 mb vs 1.1 mb). The reading combined with reports that Russia is likely to resist call for deeper output cuts during next month’s OPEC meeting caused major declines on the oil market yesterday. DOE report is expected to show increases in crude and gasoline stockpiles.

7:00 pm GMT - FOMC minutes. FOMC decided to deliver another rate cut during its last meeting. However, it was hinted that it may be the end of easing cycle for now. Minutes may reveal what FOMC thinks of the condition of the US economy and whether the latest cut was questioned by Committee members.
