Economic calendar: quiet day in the markets during the US holiday

Today's macroeconomic calendar is practically empty. In the USA, it is Independence Day, and there is no trading on the stock exchange. Virtually no publications have been scheduled for this day. European markets are opening slightly lower, and CFD contracts for the DAX are trading 0.20% lower, around 16,200 points.

The most important macro event of the day was the decision by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) regarding interest rates. The main cash rate (OCR) remained unchanged at 4.1%, compared to a +0.25% increase at the last meeting.
