Economic calendar: Second tier data from Europe and Canada

According to the situation on futures markets, European indices are expected to launch today's trading slightly above Friday's closing prices. Cryptocurrencies stabilized after booking big gains over the week (Elon Musk hinted Tesla may start accepting crypto payments again). Ranges on the FX market are narrow.

Today's economic calendar is almost empty. European industrial production reading and Canadian manufacturing sales data will be released today but those prints rarely have an impact on the markets. Investors will get to hear from Bank of England Governor Bailey at 2:00 pm BST.

FOMC meeting scheduled for Wednesday is a key reading of the week. Apart from that, a meeting between US and Russian Presidents and Iranian oil talks are events of note this week.

10:00 am BST - Euro area, industrial production for April. Expected: 0.3% MoM. Previous: 0.1% MoM

1:30 pm BST - Canada, manufacturing sales for April. Expected: -1.1% MoM. Previous: +3.5% MoM
