FBI looks into elections misinformation in Michigan

20:40 3 November 2020

Federal Bureau of Investigations said that it will investigate reports on spreading election misinformation in Michigan. The FBI said that they have received complaints about automated phone calls asking Michigan citizens to avoid voting today due to long waiting times at poll stations and instead advised voting tomorrow. Michigan is one of the key battleground states that Trump managed to flip after it was dominated by Democrats for a long time. Trump won Michigan by just 0.2% margin back in 2016. Similar attempts to suppress voters were also reported in Ohio, Texas and Nevada but have been resolved quickly by local authorities.

Keep in mind that if such incidents are confirmed and numerous, they may serve as a basis to question elections outcome later on.
