Final PMI data from eurozone, UK and China show signs of improvement

  • Eurozone HCOB Services PMI Nov F: 48.7 (est 48.2; prev 48.2)
  • German HCOB Services PMI Nov F: 49.6 (est 48.7; prev 48.7)
  • French HCOB Services PMI Nov F: 45.4 (est 45.3; prev 45.3)
  • Italian HCOB Services PMI Nov: 49.5 (est 48.3; prev 47.7)
  • Spanish HCOB Services PMI Nov: 51.0 (est 51.5; prev 51.1)
  • UK S&P Global/CIPS Services PMI Nov F: 50.9 (est 50.5; prev 50.5)
  • China Caixin Services PMI Nov: 51.5 (est 50.5; prev 50.4)

Services PMI data for the world's major economies fared mostly better than estimates indicated. Although the situation in European countries is still tense, economic momentum according to survey data is improving. Among the published data, the only surprise on the downside was from Spain.
