Oil retreats after the biggest one-day gain since 2016

Both Brent and WTI surged yesterday alongside equities as the improvement of moods was exaggerated by thin holiday trading. In turn both major grades of oil added more than 7%, marking the biggest one-day gain since 2016. However, bulls failed to maintain control for another day and in turn we are observing WTI and Brent trading around 1.5% lower today.
