Record number of COVID cases in US

Last few days saw a sike in daily cases in the US and records were set in all of the past 3 days. The number of daily COVID cases is now way above 50k, double the levels from April, and while this is partly due to more testing, number of hospitalizations is on the rise too.

Markets have so far ignored this trend focusing on central bank stimulus and economic recovery. Indices like US500 were rising in all days between Monday and Thursday. Could deteriorating pandemic finally discourage investors?

While there is a holiday in the US today, futures are being traded and investors can trade US500 (among other US indices) until 7pm CET (6pm BST)
