Timetable for investors for the New Year’s period

European equity markets are slowly moving towards the early session close. Gains were observed on every European stock exchange that is opened today with the UK FTSE 100 (UK100) being the only exception. The US session will begin at 2:30 pm GMT and will be held during normal trading hours (until 9:00 pm GMT). British pound is the strongest member of the G10 basket today while New Zealand dollar underperforms against all its major peers. Most of the commodities are trading higher with oil being unquestionable leader.

Most of the markets will remain shut tomorrow for New Year holiday. Markets will get back into full swing on Wednesday. XTB Research team will resume market coverage from Wednesday. We would like to wish you all the best in 2019!
