Wall Street earnings season begins this week! As usual, the beginning of the earnings marathon is marked with reports from major US banks and other financial institutions. JPMorgan, Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs will report results for the first quarter of 2021 on Wednesday, followed by reports from Blackrock, Citigroup, Bank of America and US Bancorp on Thursday. Morgan Stanley and State Street wrap up this week's calendar on Friday.

US stock market had a solid start of the year with S&P 500 index gaining around 6% during the first 3 months. Solid performance of equity markets should be visible in reports of financial institutions, especially asset managers like Blackrock. On the other hand, bond market was underperforming and lower trading revenues may weigh on results.
