Wall Street cash session will not be held today as the President's Day is being observed in the United States. As a result there will be no afternoon earnings releases from the United States today. However, there will be a few reports released in the evening but neither of them comes from a major, well-known company.
In spite of the Wall Street earnings season slowly heading for the end, the remainder of the week looks abundant in interesting releases. Recent investors' favourites Palantir and Tilray will report Q4 2020 results on Tuesday and Wednesday. Gold miners Barrick Gold and Newmont will report results on Thursday while oil companies Marathon and Occidental Petroleum will publish results on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Walmart is the only Dow Jones member set to report this week (Thursday, before market open). Last but not least, investors will also be served reports from 2 well-known hotel operators - Hilton (Wednesday) and Marriott (Thursday).
