DE30 returns above 13,000 points barrier

  • Expectations for German inflation reading

Today's German trading session brings gains in the DAX index. Investors are now awaiting the CPI inflation reading for August. A higher reading is expected, although earlier inflation from Spain fell harder than expected to 10.3% y/y.

News:

Today we are seeing an improvement in sentiment on the German stock market. Only utilities companies are currently recording declines. 

  • Shares of Adler Group (ADJ.DE) are trading down today on weak news. The company stated that its debt ratio has increased and the company is refraining from a dividend proposal. 

  • Speculation about Porsche AG's IPO supported the valuation of Porsche SE (PAH3.DE) shares by 5%.

  • Shares of wind farm and solar panel operators also continued their declines. The companies Encavis (ECV.DE) and PNE (PNE3.DE) are losing today due to the planned structural reform of the electricity market in Europe.
