Economic calendar: EU recovery fund talks continue

European equity futures trade flat amid lack of agreement on EU recovery fund. However, as discussions are set to resume this afternoon, there is still hope that an agreement can be reached. Comments related to the discussions are likely to be a major driver for European assets today.

9:00 am BST - Poland, industrial production for June. Expected: -6.9% YoY. Previous: -17% YoY

9:00 am BST - Euro area, trade balance for May. Expected: €15.2 billion. Previous: €14.4 billion

3:00 pm BST - EU recovery fund discussions resume. EU leaders were set to held talks on Friday and Saturday over the final shape of EU recovery fund. However, agreement has not been reached in that time and discussions extended onto Sunday and Monday. Talks will resume this afternoon and discussions will center over how much money should be provided by loans and grants.
