General Dynamics (GD.US) is one of the largest companies from the US Aerospace & Defense sector. The company is engaged in the production of military equipment as well as the development of the latest technologies applicable in the military, space and IT sectors.

  • The General Dynamics company will deliver 250 M1A2 Abrams tanks in the most modern version for the Polish army. The first tanks should be delivered this year. The contract is worth over USD 6 billion. Its approval by the State Department coincided with the visit of US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to Poland.
  • In early February, the company signed a contract worth US $ 229 million for the supply of 265,000 NGLD-M encryption keys for the US military (NSA) for tactical and corporate network systems.
  • General Dynamics has also been awarded a $ 518 million Worldwide Field Support (WFS) contract that includes support for current and future C5ISR systems, military equipment and ancillary operational requirements for NATO troops around the world.
  • The company had $ 38.5 billion in revenues in 2021.

The Aerospace & Defense sector is one of the few beneficiaries of the recent geopolitical tensions. The company currently has 8 'Buy' recommendations and 4 'Hold' recommendations according to Bloomberg.

General Dynamics (GD.US) shares have been moving in an almost uninterrupted upward trend since the end of 2020. The most important supports are the 50-, 100- and 200-period exponential moving averages (blue, purple and golden lines, respectively). It is worth remembering, however, that the current uncertainty related to tensions between Russia and the West may cause increased volatility of stock prices from the defensive sector. D1 interval.
