Top stock reports this week (02.08.2021)

We are already past the peak of the Wall Street earnings season for the second quarter of 2021. However, it does not mean that there won't be any noteworthy releases in the days ahead. Pace of the season will just clearly slow down.

This week investors will be served a wide array of earnings releases, from different branches of the US economy.

  • Video game developers will report earnings on Monday (Take-Two Interactive) Tuesday (Activision Blizzard) and Wednesday (Electronic Arts).

  • Ride-hailing companies Lyft and Uber Technologies will report on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

  • Among earnings reporters representing "old economy" one can find oil companies ConocoPhillips, Occidental Petroleum and Phillips 66 - all reporting on Tuesday - as well as General Motors on Wednesday

  • Two very popular stocks among investors will also report this week. EV manufacturer Nikola will report on Tuesday while plant-based meat manufacturer Beyond Meat will report on Thursday

  • Report from Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group on Tuesday may help alleviate investors' concerns after recent sell-off

  • On Friday, the final day of the week, two cannabis companies will release financial results for the second quarter of 2021 - Cronos and Canopy Growth
