  • Retail Sales: actual -0.2% YoY; forecast 0.2% YoY; previous 1.7% YoY;
  • Retail Sales: actual -1.2% MoM; forecast -0.6% MoM; previous 2.9% MoM;
  • Core Retail Sales: actual -0.8% YoY; forecast 0.2% YoY; previous 1.6% YoY;
  • Core Retail Sales: actual -1.5% MoM; forecast -0.5% MoM; previous 2.9% MoM;

Retail sales volumes in Great Britain fell by 1.2% in June 2024, reversing a 2.9% increase in May 2024. Most sectors experienced declines, notably department stores, clothing retailers, and non-food stores, which saw a 2.1% decrease. Overall, retail sales volumes in Quarter 2 of 2024 dropped by 0.1% compared to Quarter 1 and by 0.2% year-over-year. Online spending also decreased by 2.7% in June 2024, although it was 2.3% higher than in June 2023.
