Economic calendar: Quiet start to a data-heavy week

  • European indices set for higher opening

  • US retail sales and CPI data due this week

  • CPI reports from Canada and the United Kingdom

Futures markets point to a slightly higher opening of today's cash session for major European indices today. Asian equities traded lower today amid news of  more actions from Chinese authorities targeted at tech companies. However, it looks like this sell-off was limited to Asia. Economic calendar for today is empty but there are plenty of readings to keep in mind while trading the later part of the week.
