Goldman Sachs to report Q4 results ahead of Wall Street session open
10-year US yields jumped to a 2-year high near 1.85% during today's Asian session, putting pressure on equities. European stock market futures point to a lower opening of today's trading session on the Old Continent. Elsewhere, oil continues to gain with Brent trading at the 8-year high slightly below $88 per barrel.
Calendar for the day ahead is light but there are some releases worth attention. German ZEW index for January will be released at 10:00 am GMT and it is expected to show an improvement compared to December. Canadian housing market data and US NY Empire index will be released in the early afternoon. Financial institutions continue to dominate the Wall Street earnings calendar. Goldman Sachs can be found among today's earnings report.
