Canada retail sales data for April was released at 1:30 pm BST. Report turned out to be better than expected and caused some moves on the markets. Highlights of the report:
- Retail Sales: 1.1% MoM vs 0.2.% MoM expected (-1.5% MoM previous)
- Retail Sales Ex-autos: 1.3% MoM vs 0.3% MoM expected (-0.4% MoM previous)
