BREAKING: Final HICP data from Spain slightly higher

7:45 AM - Final inflation readings from France

  • HICP y/y: 2.4% vs 2.4% forecast and 2.4% in the first reading (2.3% CPI after seasonal adjustment)
  • HICP m/m: 0.2% vs 0.3% forecast and 0.3% in the first reading (in line with 0.2% seasonally adjusted)

8 AM GMT - Final inflation readings from Spain

HICP y/y: 3.3% vs 3.2% forecast vs. 3.2% in first reading

  • HICP m/m: 1.4% vs 1.3% forecast vs 1.3% in the first reading

Overall inflation reading from France and Spain were mixed; in France, we saw an unexpected 0.2% MoM HICP vs 0.3% previously. On the other hand, HICP data from Spain were higher than expected on both yearly and monthly basis. EURUSD dips another 0.4% today and is trading below 1.069 level.
