Just moments ago University of Michigan released its survey data for the month of February. The headline figure fell to 76.2 from 79.0 in January. 

Headline Michigan Consumer Sentiment: 79.0 pts (vs exp. 80.8 pts)

  • Michigan Current Conditions: 86.2 pts (vs exp. 88.0)

  • Michigan Consumer Expectations: 69.8 pts (vs exp. 74.0)

  • Michigan 1-Year Inflation Expectations: 3.3% (previous: 3.0%)

Surprisingly US indices gained slightly shortly after the release. Cash indices are still trading below the flatline.
