The Securities and Exchange Commission said in a filing on Friday that it will seek comment on ARK Investment Management's proposal to list a spot bitcoin ETF, effectively postponing a decision. The regulator had previously set 13 August as the deadline for approval or rejection. This comes as no surprise to the market, however, and analysts themselves had expected a longer timeframe to be required for such funds to be approved. Bitcoin is not reacting signficantly to this news.
