The US jobless claims report was released at 1:30 pm BST. The reading came slightly below market expectations. Initial jobless claims came in at 4427k against expected 4500k and down from the previous week's 5245k.
At 02:45 pm BST investors will get to know the PMI reading from the US.
The number of initial claims shows another strong reading, although it can be seen that at the same time their number is falling relative to week to week. However, the number of new unemployed in the US may increase in the near future by more than 20 million. Source: Macrobond, XTB
