Challenger Job-Cut Report for April:

Actual figure: 67k versus 89.7 k previously

Data released by Challenger, Gray & Christmas inc suggest that planned number of layoffs declines compares to the previous month. Although this number is still higher than average, surveyed employers are planning fewer job cuts than analysts expected. So far no significant reaction on Wall Street.
