DE30 trades flat, Airbus gains on big jet order

Major stock market indices from Europe are trading mixed during the first trading session of the week. Scale of moves is quite minor with majority of European blue chips benchmarks trading less than 0.2% away from Friday's closing prices. Polish WIG20 (W20) and Russian RTS (RUS50) outperform gaining 0.7 and 1.1%, respectively. Equities from Belgium lag the most.

Economic calendar for the remaining part of the day lacks key releases. This are about to get more interesting later into the week with numerous speeches from Fed members scheduled between Tuesday and Thursday

DE30 has been moving mostly sideways as of late. After a period of trading in a 15,985-16,065 pts range, the German index delivered an upside breakout. However, it was not long until DE30 started to trade in another narrow ranges - this time between 16,065 and 16,110 pts marks. Breaking through either limit of this range could, in theory, trigger an around 50 points move in a respective direction. Source: xStation5

Airbus (AIR.DE) is the best performing DAX member at the beginning of a new week. Company announced a massive jet deal during the first day of the Dubai Air Show with US private equity firm Indigo Partners ordering 255 new jets. Indigo has stakes in numerous airlines, like Wizz Air, Volaris or Jetsmart. Value of the deal was not disclosed. 

According to a Handelsblatt report, Siemens (SIE.DE) narrowed down the group of potential bidders for its Yunex Traffic division to 5 entities - Cubic, Autostrade, KKR, Bridgepoint and PPF. Siemens gave them time until Christmas to submit final offers that could value the division at €550-600 million.

Wirecard (WDI.DE), a troubled German payments company that collapsed due to fraudulent accounting, is about to be delisted from the German stock exchanges. Deutsche Boerse confirmed that the company will be delisted amid ongoing insolvency proceeds and its shares will stop trading after today's session. Wirecard's shares trade near $0.06 at press time after trading as high as €200 per share in September 2018.

DHL Express, a division of Deutsche Post (DPW.DE), ordered 9 767-300 Boeing freighters.

Airbus (AIR.DE) is trading higher, following news on a massive jet order from Indigo Partners. Stock launched today's trading with a bullish price gap and leaped above the 200-period moving average on the H4 interval (purple line). However, as the time passed gains started to be erased slowly and the stock trades near daily lows. Zone ranging around €113.50 mark is a key near-term support. Source: xStation5
