Economic calendar: a light first day in an important week for the markets 🔔

9:35 AM 12 February 2024

Today's macroeconomic calendar does not have any key publications planned that could impact global markets. Futures do not indicate greater volatility at the opening of the cash session in Europe. Most instruments are not recording changes greater than 0.10%.

However, the following days could become more interesting. On Tuesday, we will learn about the inflation report from the USA, with expectations pointing to another decrease to 3.0% YoY from 3.3% YoY the previous month. Core inflation is expected to record a slightly smaller drop to 3.8% YoY compared to 3.9% YoY previously. In the following days, we will also learn about the retail sales report, industrial production, and PPI inflation in the USA. These will provide many important pieces of information for the Fed in the context of the March decision.

Company earnings calendar:

  • Arista Networks (ANET.US) - after the session
  • Goodyear Tire & Rubber (GT.US) - after the session
  • Zoominfo Technologies (ZI.US) - after the session
