Markets launched a new week in mixed moods. Situation on the Asian stock exchanges hints at caution but moves on the FX market point to risk-on attitude. There is little on the calendar today therefore investors may expect trading to be focused on coronavirus news. Semi-important readings scheduled for today:

7:30 am GMT - Switzerland, CPI inflation for January. Expected: 0.1% YoY. Previous: 0.2% YoY

9:00 am GMT - Italy, industrial production for December. Expected: -0.5% MoM. Previous: 0.1% MoM

1:15 pm GMT - Canada, housing starts for January. Expected: 202.5k. Previous: 197.3k

1:30 pm GMT - Canada, building permits for December. Expected: 3.5% MoM. Previous: -2.4% MoM
