Economic calendar: ECB minutes and final services PMIs

European index futures point to a flat or slightly lower opening of today's cash session on the Old Continent. This comes in spite of a rather upbeat trading during the Asia-Pacifc session, when indices from the region gained.

Economic calendar for today's morning is packed with services PMI release from European countries. However, majority of those will be revision to an already-released flash data for March and threrefore should not have a major impact on the markets. EUR may see some moves in the early afternoon when ECB minutes are released. USDCAD may enjoy higher volatility around 1:30 pm BST when trade balance data from US and Canada is released. Energy traders will focus on EIA report on natural gas inventories.

8:45 am BST - Italy, services PMI for March. Expected: 53.2. Previous: 52.2

8:50 am BST - France, services PMI for March (final). First release: 47.8

8:55 am BST - Germany, services PMI for March (final). First release: 49.8

9:00 am BST - Euro area, services PMI for March (final). First release: 51.1

9:30 am BST - UK, services PMI for March (final). First release: 53.4

10:00 am BST - Euro area, PPI inflation for February. Expected: -8.6% YOY. Previous: -8.6% YoY

12:30 pm BST - US, Challenger report for March

12:30 pm BST - ECB minutes

1:30 pm BST - US, trade balance for February. Expected: -$67.2 billion. Previous: -$67.4 billion

1:30 pm BST - Canada, trade balance for February. Expected: C$0.7 billion. Previous: C$0.5 billion

1:30 pm BST - US, initial jobless claims. Expected: 214k. Previous: 210k

3:30 pm BST - EIA natural gas storage. Expected: -42 bcf. Previous: -36 bcf
