Economic Calendar: Final manufacturing PMI data for 2019

  • Final PMI data from Europe and US to be released today

  • US initial jobless claims seen at 225k

Economic calendar looks empty today and no major data is scheduled for release. Moreover, traders should expect somewhat thinner liquidity over the remaining part of the week as markets are waking up from Christmas-New Year’s lull. However, some key reports will be released tomorrow, including preliminary CPI data from Europe and FOMC minutes. When it comes to things to watch today, investors should focus on hints on US-China trade after Donald Trump said that “Phase One” deal will be signed on January 15.
