Economic calendar: FOMC in the spotlight

• EIA weekly report is expected to show 1.0 million barrels build-up

A lot is on the agenda today. FOMC Interest Rate Decision and FED Chair Powell press conference  are undoubtedly the most important and may have major impact on the markets. Investors are expecting a dovish statement following yesterday announcement that FED will extend its lending programs until the end of the year. Also US Pending Home Sales figures and EIA Crude Oil Inventories report will be released today. EIA data is expected to show a 1 million barrels increase.

09:30 BST - UK June mortgage approvals. Expected: 35k Previous: 9k
15:00 BST – US Pending Home Sales. Expected: 15.6% Previous: 44.3%
15:30 BST - EIA Crude Oil inventories report. Expected:  1.0 mln barrels. Previous: 4.9mln barrels
19:00 BST - FOMC Interest Rate Decision. Expected: 0.25% Previous: 0.25%
19:30 BST - FOMC Press Conference
