Today's macroeconomic calendar is relatively light, however, investors' attention will be focused on the statements of FOMC members in the latter part of the day.
In the first half of the day, on European markets, we will have access to industrial production reports from several Eurozone member countries. At the time of publication, we already knew the data from Germany, which, although slightly better than expected, still indicate a decline in industrial production both annually and monthly. Next, we will see the same set of data from Hungary and Spain.
In the latter part of the day, investors' attention will shift across the ocean to the USA. Between 04:00-06:30 PM BST, we will learn comments from FOMC representatives - Jefferson, Collins, and Cook. After very important labor market data last week, the current speeches may provide more detailed information about the Fed's potential stance at upcoming meetings.
