  • European indices set to open lower

  • GDP data from EMU countries

  • Earnings from Chevron and ExxonMobil

European index futures point to a lower opening of the trading session on the Old Continent. Weak earnings from Apple and Amazon weigh on the sentiment. However, there is plenty releases scheduled for today that may brighten the picture. Q3 GDP reports from EMU countries will be released throughout the morning with German reading being the most closely watched (9:00 am BST). Data from France earlier today showed a much higher growth than expected (3.0% QoQ vs 2.1% QoQ expected) so we may see surprises in other reports as well. Among today's earnings reporters, investors will find US oil majors - ExxonMobil, Chevron and Phillips 66.
