Cannabis stocks - Aurora, Canopy Growth and Tilray - among earnings reporters
Risk-on attitude can be spotted on the global markets at the beginning of a new week. Oil and equities gain while safe havens, like JPY and CHF, pull back. Associated News, CNN and Fox News declared Biden as US president-elect over the weekend. Nevertheless, Donald Trump still refuses to accept defeat and plans to file more lawsuits against alleged election fraud.
Outcome of the US elections is likely to be the main driver for markets today as the economic calendar looks almost empty. A number of US companies will report earnings today, including McDonald's before the Wall Street session and cannabis companies after the US session closes.
