Economic Calendar: NFIB Index in Focus 🗽 Light Macro Schedule

Today’s economic calendar is very light, with investors shifting their attention toward the second half of the week. The key release will be Friday’s U.S. CPI inflation report for August. German imports and exports unexpectedly declined, but EURUSD is holding up relatively well and has managed to move back above its 200-day exponential moving average and remain there.

  • 7 AM GMT Germany’s seasonally adjusted trade balance: EUR 21.3 billion versus EUR 15.8 billion expected and EUR 15.4 billion previously.
  • 7 AM GMT Germany’s seasonally adjusted imports: down 5.7% m/m versus an expected decline of 1.0% and a previous increase of 4.4%.
  • 7 AM GMT Germany’s seasonally adjusted exports: down 0.8% m/m versus an expected increase of 0.3% and a previous rise of 0.9%.
  • 11 AM GMT U.S. NFIB Small Business Optimism Index: expected at 99.3 versus 99.8 in June.
  • 4 PM GMT One-year inflation expectations from the New York Fed survey: expected at 3.63% versus 3.6% previously.
  • 8 PM GMT U.S. consumer credit: expected at USD 11.7 billion versus USD 14.17 billion previously.
  • 9 PM GMT API crude oil inventory change.
